Lot Photo Description Realized
Lot 746
1922 Grant Dollar, with star. PCGS graded MS-68. Wonderful golden toning on both sides and delightfully original. The strike is sharp on all devices, from Grant's ear, beard and hair, to his collar button, the reverse too is sharply defined on the door of his cabin to the tiny window panes. To achieve such a lofty grade one knows the surfaces are virtually perfect! And of course they are, handsomely original and perfectly preserved. A towering example of this rare and desirable gold commemorative dollar. Only 5,016 struck. Pop 6; none finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 7459) Estimated Value $12,000 - UP
